How To Win Even When You Lose

I hate losing dog.

Do you hate losing?

What if I told you that you would never lose another basketball game ever again?

Well, I’m going to show you how to turn a win-lose situation into a win-win situation.

Use A Loss As Motivation To Win

What you want to do is learn how to use a loss to your advantage. When you lose it gives you an opportunity to come back with a raging fire. Use your loss to motivate yourself to work harder in the practice gym or at your local basketball court and make sure you win your next game.

Michael Jordan was a great example of someone who took loses, negative comments, and negative energy in general, and turned it into positive energy that he used to motivate himself to play at a very high level.

Like Michael Jordan, use each loss as fuel to your burning fire.

Learn From The Loss

What could you have done better?

You probably could’ve have taken better shots. You probably could’ve made smarter decisions. And you probably could’ve made a higher percentage of your shots. Make adjustments so that you don’t make the same mistakes when the opportunity presents itself in the future.

What could your team have done better?

Sometimes you have a great game, but your teammates just didn’t bring the energy necessary to get the job done. Do whatever you can to motivate your teammates to bring the fire in the next game. Give your teammates advice, tips, and even work with them if possible to help them improve their performances on the basketball court.

What did you do right, that you need to continue doing?

Even in a loss, there are things that you did good that you need to continue to do.

Transfer Negative Energy Into Positive Energy, Analyze Your Game, And Move On

Losing is a part of the game. You have to face the fact that you can’t will not win every game, but you change your way of perceiving a loss. Even though you may have lost a game, you can still use the anger and frustration to motivate a high performance in the following game.

If you don’t learn how to lose, you can’t learn how to win. The best of the best also know how to take a loss and get back up. You need to do the same.

It’s better to play and lose than to not have played at all. Always remember that the action is what counts. Don’t let the outcome demotivate you or cause you to quit. Take pride in the fact that you actually showed up and played the game despite the fact that anything could happen.

The only way to truly lose a game is to not play, so as long as you show up and play, you will never lose another game.
