NBA Basketball Monster and Christian Aldridge – Two Fantasy Players to Watch This Week
The most talked about topics in fantasy basketball this week were Kevin Garnett and draft bust LaMarcus Aldridge. Garnett was mentioned as a possible top five pick but did not play well, falling for hook and freeze screens with defenders draped all over him. Garnett seems to be moving away from the three spot on offense, which is where he should be if he is going to ever be a consistent All-Star.
LaMarcus Aldridge was another great performer, finishing lower than usual in points per game, rebounds, assists, steals, and three pointers. While his minutes are down in San Antonio, the Blazers still sit at the top of the Northwest and are in first place in the conference. There is no doubt that they will make the playoffs as well as winning the Larry O’Brien trophy. Aldridge is playing one of the best defensive teams in the league, pairing the big man with arguably the best defender in the league in Greg Monroe. This bodes well for the Blazers, who are in the middle of a very competitive Western Conference.
NBA fans everywhere can’t wait to see whatarians Aldridge and Garnett do next. I think they will be even better this year with Ray Allen and rookie Brandon Roy. The Blazers are loaded with young talent and I don’t see any reason that they can’t make the playoffs. If you have been using H2H leagues to hone your skills, now is the time to jump into a top five fantasy basketball monster. These two players are a fantastic combination and I would start them in any league.
